How to Delete a Commit from Source Tree

As this was a bit of a head-scratcher for me I decided I would document exactly the steps on how to delete a commit which has been pushed to a remote repo.

Keeping it concise, so here goes:

  1. Select the commit you want to go back to
  2. Right-click and choose the option “Reset current branch to this commit
  3. Select your branch and choose option Push to → {branch}
  4. Make sure Force Push option is checked
  5. Push your changes

So that’s about it. I spent about 2 hours trying to work out something which seemed so simple, but now I know.

2015 Year in Review

So it’s that time of the year again, one which has ended and another which is set to begin.

Before I start I just want to point out that I actually have never done one of these types of posts before.

I guess I’m thinking it may be worth doing them from here on end, not only as a way to provide you with an inside look on how the ThemeChills brand is evolving, but also as a way to hold me accountable and keep track of my goals for the upcoming year.

In this post I would like to explore with you some of my thoughts on Ghost blogs, talking about the installation process, whether or not it is a good option to consider for a theme as well as how I came to learn about what exactly Ghost is.

My Unofficial Envato Melbourne Meetup

Back in January I managed to meet up with some of the team members of Envato HQ.

Even though this was not an official meet up and more of a casual get together, it was still really nice to put the real life persons to their avatars.

The meet up was a good opportunity to provide some feedback to the team on what some of the pains as well as some of the experiences we face in being a ThemeForest author and using the marketplaces as a whole.

Unless you are brand new to all things CSS and web, you would’ve heard about Chris Coyier.

This guy is super rad and a CSS + HTML ninja! His presentations are hilarious and at the same time extremely useful with tonnes of value.

I was reading an article the other day which pointed me to one of Chris’s recent presentations where he talks about Web Design Workflow – specifically the way he works when undertaking his projects.
